Julian Kemp (My Last Five Girlfriends) will be writing and directing this upcoming feature, and will be available on Sky Cinema and NOW this festive season.

The Last Train to Christmas follows Tony Towers (Sheen), who is about to embark on the greatest adventure of his life. The year is 1985, and Tony is a very successful nightclub manager and somewhat of a celebrity.

He is engaged to a younger woman, Sue (Emmanuel), and things do not appear to be going so well. However, when Tony gets on the 3:17 to Nottingham for a Christmas family reunion, things begin to get strange...

When Tony moves up one carriage to the buffet car, he emerges in 1995, where he sees that his so-called popular clubs have failed and his life has pretty much fallen apart.

He then finds out that by making his way up and down this strange train, he can travel back and forth in time and see various stages of his life.

Not only that, but anything he does in one cart will affect his life in the others. The big question is, can Tony change his life – and the lives of those he loves – for the better, or will he end up making everything worse?

Director of Original Film at Sky, Julia Stuart said “At Sky Cinema we are rounding off our Christmas slate for 2021 with a film starring top British talent including Michael Sheen and Nathalie Emmanuel.

“This project joins other Sky Original films for the season including A Boy Called Christmas and A Christmas Number One.”

It seems that Last Train to Christmas boasts a great, unique story that will definitely pique the interests of audiences. The movie has a great narrative with a very interesting concept, so it will be interesting to see Sheen and Emmanuel tackle time itself!

Last Train to Christmas will be on Sky Cinema and NOW on December 18th, 2021.
