The official trailer for upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me has been revealed, showcasing just what we should expect from the film, which stars both Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson in lead roles, alongside Colombian pop star Maluma.

Directed by Kat Coiro from a screenplay by John Rogers, Tami Sagher and Harper Dill, the movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby, and is set to be packed full of original songs by Lopez and Maluma.

Lopez stars as musical superstar Kat Lopez, who takes perhaps the craziest decision in her life when she agrees to marry math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Wilson), getting to know him after exchanging vows.

It’s a spur-of-the-moment choice, made after the discovery that her former partner and musical supernova Bastian (Maluma) had been cheating on her with her assistant.

With the world watching and their wedding ceremony set to be streamed across countless platforms, Valdez locks eyes with a stranger in the crowd - the single father of one girl who wanted to be a part of the big celebrity event.

As two completely different people, they share one thing in common; looking for a real connection in a world dominated with a value based on likes and followers.

Though the impulsive reaction is one that many believe the two will instantly regret, an unexpected romance blossoms and is quickly forced to do battle against forces conspiring to break them apart.

Will they be able to fill the gap between their two entirely different worlds, forging a place in which they both belong?

The film is produced by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Jennifer Lopez, Benny Medina and John Rogers, with Alex Brown, Willie Mercer, Pamela Thur and J.B. Roberts serving as executive producers.

Marry Me comes to cinemas across the UK on February 11th, 2022.
