The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), as we all know, has the ability to blow us away with almost everything they produce. This year (2021), we’ve already seen a couple of brilliant trailers for new Marvel movies, including Black Widow and The Eternals.

Today (June 25th, 2021) we saw another look for new Marvel film, Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. In this trailer, we see an abundance of amazing things, including more magic, fresh faces, an underwater dragon, and a surprise visit from a character thought to have been long-abandoned...

Destin Daniel Cretton, one of the writers and the director of this movie, is more than excited to bring this brilliant new Marvel character to the big screen, and into the MCU. The Ten Rings may be new to some fans, but their presence has been felt in the MCU before.

In the Iron Man films, Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) kidnapping and the plots against him have had this terrorist organisation to thank for the most part, and it seems that they are not done trying to take control.

Simu Liu has landed the role of the titular character Shang-Chi, and seems more than ready to bring his A-game to this character. This feature follows Shang-Chi as he goes on a journey of self-discovery, leading to the superhero powers and guile we see in the trailers, as we see him wielding some form of golden magic.

He is dragged into the past he thought he could leave behind, as he finds himself entangled in the web of the Ten Rings; and, it seems that The Mandarin, the real one this time, will be making an appearence...

This character appears to be a brilliant new addition to the MCU; the story and its characters should fit right into the world of super heroes, Gods, aliens and Sorcerers.

As for other characters, one shot in the trailer sees our hero take on a challenger in a boxing ring, but this is no ordinary opponent... While this isn’t confirmed, we can clearly see Abomination throw Shang-Chi around the arena.

Abomination, played by Rim Roth in the 2008 Marvel film The Incredible Hulk, was thought to have been simply forgotten about, as there has been no mention of him in over 10 years. This seems to be good news for fans as many wanted to see more of the creature, and the limited spot he gets in the trailer makes his role all the more intriguing.

He also seems to look more comic accurate; the 2008 film didn't show the beast at his best, but now it seems that Marvel has added the fins to Abomination that can be seen in the books, giving the character a much-needed upgrade.

The trailer definitely showcases what Marvel can do, as it contains stunning visuals, intense-looking action sequences, a vast array of actors, new characters, magic, and a whole lot more.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 3rd, 2021.
