If you love science fiction films - and let's face it you would be mad not to - then you are in for a treat this autumn, as Gravity will be hitting the big screen.

The movie marks the long awaited return of Alfonso Cuarón to the director's chair; Children of Men was his last big screen outing, and there is already a huge amount of excitement surrounding this film.

Gravity is going to open the Venice International Film Festival at the beginning of September, and we will see if it the awards contender that everyone is expecting it to be.

We have already brought you two exciting trailer this week but now we have the third and final one.

The first trailer showed collision between debris and space shuttle that leaves Sandra Bullock floating in space. The second trailer follows Bullock as she tries to regain contact with Houston.

And this final trailer sees Bullock and George Clooney back together as they try to stop themselves drifting:

Gravity marks the first time that Clooney and Bullock have teamed up together; the pair of them are going to carry this movie with no support cast.

Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring.

But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth...and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.

But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

You can tell from these three trailers alone that Gravity is set to be an edge of your seat ride... this is one film that I absolutely cannot wait for.

Gravity is released 18th October.
