Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling are two of Hollywood's biggest hitters and they are set to join forces next summer for The Nice Guys - which is already promising to be a comedy that is not to be missed.

The Nice Guys

The Nice Guys

Crowe and Gosling are two of the best actors around and I really cannot wait to see them star together as they head back to the 1970s and team up with filmmaker Shane Black.

I know that we do have a long wait until The Nice Guys finally hits the big screen, but the brand new - and rather funny trailer - for the film has been unveiled:

The Nice Guys is set to be the third feature film for Black and will follow on from the success of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3. As well as being in the director's chair, Black has also penned the screenplay as he returns to the crime drama.

Gosling and Crowe are set to take on the central roles of Holland March and Jackson Healy, but they are joined on the cast list by Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, Ty Simpkins, and Keith David.

In 1970s Los Angeles a down on his luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and world-weary muscle-for-hire Jackson Healy (Crowe) have nothing in common until they're plunged into a life-or-death mystery when the missing persons case they're both following makes them the target of trained killers.

I have been a huge fan of Shane Black ever since he made but directorial debut with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - even though he had a very successful writing career before making the leap into filmmaking - and I cannot wait to see him return.

The Nice Guys is released 3rd June 2016.
