With the month of May passing us by quicker than any of us could have expected, we’re taking a look forward at some of the big screen releases that will be coming our way in June 2022! From family flicks to movies you might want to watch just with the adults, there’s something for everybody.
Jurassic World: Dominion - Released June 10th
Director Colin Trevorrow is bringing his Jurassic World trilogy to a close by combining the legacy characters with the new generation, as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return to the big screen alongside legendary stars Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.
Jurassic World: Dominion takes place four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar, with dinosaurs now living and hunting alongside humans all over the globe. With a fragile balance being made, the future of humanity is at stake as the question of whether humans can remain the apex predators on a planet with dinosaurs is asked and, answered.

All My Friends Hate Me - Released June 10th
This British dark comedy stars Tom Stourton as Pete, a man ready to settle down with his girlfriend Sonia (Charly Clive). Invited to celebrate his birthday with old uni friends, he quickly realises that he may be the only one of the group to try and grow up.
Baffled by their invitation to a feral stranger to join them from their local pub, the atmosphere goes from tense, to terrifying and surreal, with Pete reaching a real breaking point. Is he a part of some sick joke?
All My Friends Hate Me is directed by Andrew Gaynord from a script by the brilliant Tom Stourton and Tom Palmer.
Earwig - Released June 10th
Taking place 'somewhere in Europe, mid-20th century', Earwig is the compelling and original new piece of cinema from Lucile Hazihalilovic, who here makes her debut feature in the English language.
Based on the novel by Brian Catling, the haunting movie sees a girl with teeth of ice taken under the care of a man called Albert. That girl - Mia - never leaves their apartment, stuck between the four walls where the shutters are always closed.
With the telephone ringing regularly and the Master enquiring about the girl's wellbeing, Albert is eventually told that he must prepare the girl to finally leave the apartment. Exactly how she will cope? Well, that remains to be seen…
Lightyear - Released June 17th
Disney Pixar are taking us back to the world of Toy Story with this film within a film! Here, we will learn about the origins of legendary space ranger, Buzz Lightyear, who teams up with his commander and crew to go on an intergalactic mission unlike any other.
Lightyear introduces Chris Evans as the voice of the titular hero, with other stars including Uzo Aduba as Commander Alisha Hawthorne, Keke Palmer as Izzy Hawthorne, Taika Waititi as Mo Morrison, Dale Soules as Darby Steel and Peter Sohn as the adorable robotic feline companion, Sox. Then there's James Brolin taking on the role of the villainous Zurg.

The Black Phone - Released June 24th
Despite the phone being dead, it's still ringing. 13-year-old Finney Shaw has been abducted by a sadistic killer, trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming won't help anybody. With the disconnected phone on the wall, Finney believes he has no hope. But when he hears the voices of the killer's previous voices, that may be set to change.
The Black Phone sees Ethan Hawke step into one of the most terrifying roles in cinematic history, whilst also introducing young star Mason Thames in his first ever film role. Scott Derrickson serves as producer, director and co-writer, having worked with C. Robert Cargill on the screenplay.
Elvis – Released June 24th
Austin Bulter IS Elvis Presley, in this upcoming biopic which explores the complicated relationship that the King of Rock and Roll shared with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks).
The story in Elvis is told through Parker’s perspective, as we watch Presley go from relative nobody to the world’s brightest star. Central to that journey of course, is one of the most influential people in Elvis' life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).
If this first-look clip is anything to go by, we’re sure this is going to be one of this year’s most talked-about releases.
Other exciting releases throughout June include Men (June 1st), Bergman Island (June 3rd), Dashcam (June 3rd) and Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (June 17th).
