The legendary Isle of Wight Festival is going World Cup crazy with the introduction of the BT Vision Field of Dreams which will play host to special screenings of every match across the weekend. 

The thousands of assembled festival-goers will be treated to some incredible live music from artists including the legendary Paul McCartney, global superstar Jay-Z and the mighty Strokes without missing a second of the action from South Africa.

In a festival first, the BT Vision Field of Dreams will be dominated by a massive 7mx5m screen meaning that every handball, free kick and questionable offside decision will be seen in minute detail.

Over the weekend, the mighty England will battle the USA in their first match of the tournament and other great footballing nations, including this year’s hosts, South Africa, Germany, Argentina and France will also be facing off on the pitch to stake their claim to the greatest prize in football.

The hopes of a nation are once again resting on the shoulders of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Peter Crouch et al to finally bring the Cup home....will 2010 be our year, anything is possible in the BT Vision Field of Dreams!

BT will be asking Isle of Wight Festival goers to get behind England’s 2018 World Cup Bid and show their support by signing up.  The names will help to create a mosaic of hundreds and thousands of images on the virtual flag bearing the 2018 bid logo, the FA’s three lions badge and the slogan “England united. The world invited”.
 
Over the course of the weekend more than fifty of the hottest names in music will start the festival season in true Isle of Wight style, so the 55,000 festival goers gathered at the picturesque Seaclose Park are in for a real treat.  Artists performing include both international superstars and home-grown talent including Blondie, Florence + The Machine, Pink, Orbital, Suzi Quatro, James, Crowded House, Mr. Hudson, Editors, The Coronas, Reef, The Courteeners, The Saturdays, La Roux, Biffy Clyro and Paloma Faith plus many more.
