Senior Vice President at Live Events, Jim King said of the news: "There are few things in life that are as brilliant and as quintessentially British as Blur playing an outdoor gig in London. With new material and the new and improved production at Hyde Park this show is set to be one of the best Blur shows of all time."

This makes the group the only artists to play Hyde Park four times, and comes just after the news was announced that Blur would release their first new album in 16 years.

'The Magic Whip' will be released on April 27 through Parlophone, containing recordings that were created during a break in touring back in Spring of 2013.

Tracklisting for the record is as follows:

  1. Lonesome Street
  2. New World Towers
  3. Go Out
  4. Ice Cream Man
  5. Thought I Was A Spaceman
  6. I Broadcast
