The American Idol Judges
American Idol fans are showing their support for Paula Abdul after launching an online campaign to keep her as a judge on the reality music show.
This is all down to Abdul's manager reportedly claiming that the star had not received a new contract proposal and as a result she might leave the singing contest on which she has been a judge since 2002.
This shock news had led to hoards of former contestants and viewers defending her honour on social networking site Twitter and internet forums.
To show her gratitude, Abdul later tweeted back: "If it weren't for you, this specific time and situation would feel a lot worse!"
