With summer now drawing to a close (already!), the UK's official top 40 songs of the summer have been revealed by OfficialCharts.com.

The song topping the list is of course Drake's 'One Dance', which spent an incredible 15 weeks at the top of the Official Singles Chart based on combined sales and streams, notching up 654,000 combined sales in total. Also named the biggest song of the summer based on streams alone, Drake logged a phenomenal 51 million plays during the period - 12 million more than second place Rihanna collaboration 'Too Good'.

This week also sees Drake named as the second act ever in UK chart history to cross the 100 million streams milestone with a track, with 'One Dance' following in the footsteps of Justin Bieber's trio of songs earlier this year, 'Sorry', 'What Do You Mean' and 'Love Yourself'.

Based on the overall combined sales, Kungs comes in second with his remix of 'Cookin' On 3 Burners' tune 'This Girl' with 562,000 chart sales, whilst Calvin Harris and Rihanna collaboration 'This Is What You Came For' is just behind in third place on 531,000.

Kungs said of the song's success: "It's such an amazing feeling to be up there alongside names like Drake and Calvin. I'm so thankful to all the UK people who've danced and had fun to 'This Girl' this summer, I just can't wait to show you some brand new stuff in the next few months."

When it comes to traditional sales, Calum Scott is top of the pile with 'Dancing On My Own' which proved to be extremely popular across all download stores, taking 271,000 downloads between June and August.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com about the news, Scott said: "I'm sat in a studio in Dublin with half of Kodaline helping me write my debut album and I receive an email from my manager to say I have the biggest sales-based song of the summer. It just continues to make me feel that this is just a dream and I am going to wake up in the day job I was at just last year, wishing for this to come true.

"I am absolutely over the moon at this news and it just goes to show the incredible support from fans new and old! Literally on cloud nine! I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has bought their copy of 'Dancing On My Own'! Sick life!"

Ariana Grande's 'Into You' still made it onto the list despite never breaking into the weekly Top 10, with Dua Lipa also making the same move with 'Hotter Than Hell', despite earlier this year peaking at 15 on the weekly Top 40.

Relative newcomers Christine & The Queens also make an entry after their mega Glastonbury set with Top 20 hit 'Tilted', whilst Pink rounds off the summer Top 40 with her Alice Through The Looking Glass soundtrack single, 'Just Like Fire'.
