"It's Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid".

What are you listening to this Christmas?

What are you listening to this Christmas?

"Oh I wish it could be Christmas, every day."

"All I want for Christmas, is you."

Christmas songs are some of the most upbeat and joyous of the year, but what about those that only a certain group of people ever hear or listen to? We've decided to, this Christmas Day, give five lesser-known festive tunes the platform they deserve - give them a spin this Christmas and make all-new additions to your holiday playlist.

1) The Courteeners - 'Winter Wonderland'

The Courteeners revealed their new Christmas charity single 'Winter Wonderland' this year, and announced that all proceeds from the track would go to Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity.

2) Si Cranstoun - 'A Christmas Twist'

Fabulous and upbeat, Si provides the perfect tune to put on after a few sherrys when you're dancing around the living room.

3) Kelly Moneymaker - 'Home For The Holidays'

Kelly is also doing her bit for charity, helping to raise money for polar bears with NRDC.org and Polar Bears International. The funds will go towards research on population, habitat, maternal den studies, bondy condition, aid policy-makers and more.

4) Pentatonix - 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'

Pentatonix are the extremely successful group you may never have heard of. The acapella group are charming and infectious with their spirit, and this cover is just one of many great releases on a new and deluxe version of 2014 album 'That's Christmas to Me'.

5) LeAnn Rimes with Gavin DeGraw - 'Celebrate Me Home'

Why this song hasn't latched on is beyond me! Two superstars come together for a gorgeous song that allows the pair to really show off their talents.

Have a lovely Christmas Day, and enjoy yourselves no matter what you're doing - from all here at Female First.
