There’s just a few hours to go until we ring in 2018, and so without further ado, we’ve taken a look at four of the most promising and exciting new albums that are set for release in January 2018. From former band members to returning heroes of the music industry, these are the four records we think you should be listening to, to start your New Year off in the right way.

4) Camila Cabello Camila Released January 12

Formerly a member of X Factor USA-made girl band Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello has proven she’s got exactly what it takes to make it on her own, and will finally drop her debut solo album on January 12. ‘Havana’ was her debut single, and it did incredibly well on radio and with streaming/sales, making Camila a household name across the globe. We imagine there will be a whole host of other brilliant tracks on the album just as infectious as ‘Havana’, and can’t wait to plug our headphones in and get listening to the new material!

3) Charlie Puth VoiceNotes Released January 19

Having been supported early on in his career by the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Charlie Puth has done an incredible job of cementing a place for himself within the industry. Now set to drop his sophomore album, the singer/songwriter will be hoping to emulate the success of his first record. He’s been working hard on the collection, even pushing it back from its original planned release in the autumn of 2017. Seeing the reaction from fans to this one will be very interesting indeed.

2) Fall Out Boy Mania Released January 19

Another album that was supposed to drop earlier this year, but instead was pushed back for a January 2018 release, Mania will see Fall Out Boy return to their recognisable sound, with Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz and the rest of the FOB crew also unafraid to venture into new genres, taking influence especially from EDM with their lead single, ‘Young and Menace’. Hearing the rest of their work on Mania should be an exciting prospect for fans.

1) Craig David The Time Is Now Released January 26

British singer Craig David is without a doubt one of the most recognisable names for those who have been big listeners of music for the past couple of decades. It marks the return for the singer following his initial comeback in 2016, and features guest collaborators including JP Cooper, Bastille, Ella Mai and GoldLink. Having impressed with the lead single ‘Heartline’ back in September, fans are now anxiously awaiting the rest of Craig’s new material, to see if it can live up to the brilliance he’s been a part of in the past.
