In today's Daily Rap there's troble at Akon gig, The Black Entertainment TV channel is coming to the UK, Joss Stone to work with The Clipse and Andre 3000 to launch clothing line.

Trouble at Akon Concert

A free concert at a shopping mall in Copenhagen Denmark erupted in violence this week after over three thousand fans turned up to see the R&B singer perform. Over 2,000 fans had been turned away from seeing Akon perform, leaving a thousand inside the mall. However as the singer began to perform his third song a fire alarm went off stopping the show.The alarm which did in fact turn out to be false caused fans to start hurling rocks and bottles at the police.

BET will be heading to UK

The Black Entertainment TV channel will be debuting in the UK it has been decided. The channel will be available through satellite next week, Feb 28th. "BET has been building a presence among our core target audience in the United Kingdom for more than two years," said Michael D. Armstrong, Senior Vice President and General Manager, BET International.So expect shows like College Hill and American Gangster to hit TV sets as the company develops and caters more to the UK marketplace as it grows here.

Joss Stone working with The Clipse

English singing sensation Joss Stone has joined forces with Virginia duo The Clipse on her up and coming album and she is set to make an appearance on their Re-Up gang album which is set to be released later this year.

The thrid album from the Clipse is expected to come later in the year.

Andre 3000 works on new clothing line

Andre Benjamin one half of the multi platinum selling duo Outkast has been working on a high end clothing line, called Benjamin Bixby. The label will be available at high end stores such as Barneys and has had the Hip-Hop icon traveling as far as Paris and Italy to hand select the fabrics for the line.

He also admitted to working on ideas with Vogue editor Anna Wintour who has been on hand for style and trends advice for Hip-Hop moguls such as Sean Combs and Jay Z.
