Roots survive Car Crash

Famed Philadelphia group, The Roots had a near death experience on Wednesday night while travelling through Paris. The band who spend almost two thirds of the year touring were left uninjured but obviously shaken from the incident.

The group were on their way to perform alongside Kanye West on his Glow in the Dark Tour in Paris when the accident happened.

Lead singer and founder of the Roots Quest Love had this to say “let everyone know that we are happy to be alive. And not in that TV cliché way....but man.....that was divine intervention. We are so grateful for this outcome." The collective recently announced their retirement.

Usher Confirms Baby

Singer Usher has finally confirmed that he and his wife are expecting their second baby as a couple since getting married last year/ Tameka Foster already has three children from a previous marriage.

The couple who faced endless scrutiny last year when their marriage was postponed are said to be overjoyed with their news, but were not giving anything away about the sex of the baby.

Usher joked with media when questioned on if the baby was a boy or girl "I ain't telling if it's a boy or a girl. Some things have to remain personal. But I'll give you a clue - it's a baby," he laughed.

Ludacris Give-Away for Thanksgiving

Ludacris will be helping those in the greater Atlanta area with food and turkeys for the Thanksgiving Holiday next week in his home city.

His LudaCares Foundation will distribute food to over 500 families this coming weekend in the city with sponsorship from GM, Sam’s Club and the Schwan Food Company.

The Ludacris Foundation President is the rappers Mother, Roberta Shields and she explained in a statement that the emphasis this year is on the youth, stating that ‘at holiday time we uplift the youth by uplifting the family,’ and celebrating with family over a good meal enables this.

Kanye battles Guns N Roses

Last year he was up against 50 Cent and won, this year outspoken rapper Kanye West sees himself release his fourth album 808s and Heartbreak on the same week as legendary rock group Guns N Roses who finally release their first album in 16 years entitled Chinese Democracy.

However it looks like Kanye, even though he has an extra days sales to consider with his project hitting the stores on Monday as opposed to the usual Tuesday, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, isn’t the favorite with the bookies.

Ladbrokes have Guns N’ Roses as firm favorite to sell the most next week. But as the old saying goes, only time will tell.
