Rick Rubin to be axed from Sony

Having established one of the most influential Hip-Hop labels with Russell Simmons, Rick Rubin who currently heads up Sony/Columbia looks like he might be upsetting the labels top bosses.

Rubin, founder of Def Jam joined Sony last year and has since been working on projects with Metallica and U2 who are not actually on the Sony roster.

This has infuriated bosses and has encouraged them to think again about the legendary musicians position at the label. It is expected that he will be offered given a sub label of the company to preside over.

Rick Rubin has worked with the likes of Jay Z, System of a Down, Johnny Cash and many more.

Simmons Credit Card Beating the Odds

The Rush card introduced by Russell Simmons back in 2004 has defied the odds of becoming a great success having already secured deposits of $2 billion.

The pre-paid visa card was introduced to help the financially challenged repair and build their credit when they were faced with limited to no resources from other banking facilities.

Simmons had this to say about the success in a statement yesterday "In America today, no one should be left out or kept out of having access to the American Dream and financial services which a bank account or credit card provides to others.

The fact that we have already helped our members manage $2 billion in transactions proves that RushCard is instrumental in providing access to those services that hundreds of thousands of people may not otherwise have."

Eminem more 'happier'

Having shared more than enough of his colourful past in his music, rapper Eminem has divulged that his next album Relapse which is expected early next year will be more upbeat that what we are familiar with.

In a recent interview Eminem explained that he has found himself to be more happier and this is reflected in his new work. "Within the last year, I started learning how to not be so angry about things, learning how to count my fucking blessings instead," he told Esquire.

"By doing that, I've become a happier person, instead of all this self-loathing I was doing for a while."
