Afeni Shakur thanks people for their support
The mother of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, Afeni Shakur has reached out and thanked the fire fighters and all those who have offered support to her after part of her home was burned to the ground in North Carolina.

Causes of the fire which completely destroyed the guest house on the 56 acre ranch Ms. Shakur owns has yet to be determined. There was no one present in the guest house at the time of the fire as all family members and guests were in the main house which was untouched by the fire.

First Lady of the Roc makes a come back
Female rapper Amil who was crowned the First Lady of Rocafella Records back in the late 90's is making a come back. Amil Whitehead left the label back in 2001 after the release of her debut album All Money is Legal.

The mother of three is releasing her follow up through Babygrande records and the title of the album is Az Iz. No release date for the album has been cited, but it is known that the rapper is working in the studio with producers such as Kwame, Easy Mo Bee and Baby Paul.

Second time Lucky
Well it looks like Beyonce is determined to make sure she stays on the Silver screen until she gets herself an Oscar to add to her extensive collection of awards.

The famed songstress is in talks with Walt Disney about taking the leading role in the company's adaptation of Verdi's Aida.

The Broadway version of the show has seen fellow Destiny's Child Michelle Williams play the lead role.
