Re-launch for G Unit Clothing

After it was announced earlier this year that 50 Cent’s G Unit clothing line was no longer affiliated with Marc Ecko and his Ecko Unlimited brand, it looks like the two factions will be back in business later this year.

Announced by Dr Jays fashion chain who stock various urban designers clothes the G Unit and Ecko will be back with a Spring 2009 line later this year which will tie in with many other of the endeavors that the business minded 50 Cent has planned for his label and empire.

The G Unit line was introduced into the market in 2003 aimed primarily at the 16-25 demographic.

Black Mafia Family sentenced

The two key figures in the emergence of the Black Mafia Family (BMF) brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory were sentenced to 30 years in a federal prison last week for their criminal involvement.

The brothers were involved in a vast amount of illegal activities and it has been reported that at the height of their cocaine trafficking their cartel was worth $270 million.

The BMF have been linked to Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy and New York’s Fabolous. 2005 saw over 150 indictments issued after the FBI who had been pursuing the BMF for fifteen years arrested over 150 different people in connection with the family.

The brothers will not be eligible for parole being that they are in a Federal penitentiary.

Ice Cube readies Greatest Hits

For fans of the West Coast Legend, Ice Cube, there is an album set to hit shelves that will put a smile to their faces.

Ice Cube who shot to fame as part of the outspoken quartet NWA in the late eighties is currently working on his Greatest Hits album.

With eight albums to pull tracks from, Cube who is releasing the project on September 16th through Priority Records.

Ice Cube is one of the very few rappers in Hip-Hop history who has total control over all the music he has personally created and he is hoping that with this project he is putting together a collection of tracks that will please the masses.

Tracks such as Greed, Cold Places and Dead Homiez will feature on the album.

Snoop granted entry to Australia

Rapper Snoop Dogg is most definitely on his way down under after countless weeks of deliberation by the Australian Immigration authorities.

Snoop who was to headline along side Ice Cube and Bones Thugs and Harmony had been denied entry to the company even after the tour promoter had paid him $600,000.

However last week after careful consideration by Immigration and Visa personnel who looked at the work Snoop has done to benefit children and under privileged he was allowed to enter the country.

However if Snoop is to get into any trouble while in Australia his visa will automatically be revoked and he will be deported from the country. A full character assessment was done on the rapper.
