Rapper Foxy Brown has turned down a plea deal and will instead stand trial for charges stemming from an alleged assault incident in a beauty store in February (07).The defiant rap star, real name Inga Marchand, appeared briefly before authorities in Florida on Friday (18May07) and refused to accept she is the guilty party in the legal spat between her and the owner of the Queen Beauty Supply shop.The salon boss claims Brown threw hair glue at a store employee and spat at her when she was asked to leave the store at closing time.Brown was charged with misdemeanour battery and obstruction of justice.She has now been called to stand trial on 24 September (07), and faces a year in jail if found guilty of the battery charges.The rap star is currently on probation for assaulting two manicurists in Manhattan's Bloomie Nails in 2004.
