Florence and The Machine frontwoman Florence Welch has promised to tone down her dangerous stage antics after making her mum cry during a performance.
Welch stunned fans at U.K. festivals Glastonbury and Reading last year by climbing up lighting rigs and dangling 30 feet (nine metres) above the stage. But her bandmates warned her to cut back on her daredevil performances - because it was terrifying her mother.
The Brit singer says, "I climbed halfway up the lighting rig at Glastonbury, so at Reading I thought I'd see how high I could get. I got to the top and let go with one hand. "But I got banned from doing that because apparently my mom was watching it on TV from behind the sofa in tears. My drummer, Chris, told me never to do it again."
