Corey Taylor has posted a video message on his Official YouTube Channel announcing that he will swim with sharks if fans get him to the number 1 spot this weekend with charity Christmas ditty ‘X-M@$’!!
“First of all I would like to say thank you to everyone who has been purchasing the ‘X-M@$’ single.” he begins, “Remember, all the proceeds go to charity!” It is with some trepidation, Corey then continues, “I’ve decided that if you get me to Christmas number 1, I will film myself swimming with sharks...Great.”
With the video for the track racking up combined YouTube plays of over 400,000, the single being available at Amazon for only 49p and Corey’s pledge, the next couple of days should see fans rallying to the cause- which incidentally is the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Of course an added bonus would be keeping X Factor winner Matt Cardle off the number one spot. As Corey told NME, "Seeing the competition for the Christmas Number One, I've come to three conclusions.
One: based on the winner of The X Factor, Simon Cowell does not like Biffy. Two: based on the winner of The X Factor, Simon Cowell is going deaf. Three: based on the winner of The X Factor, the world needs a little more 'X-M@$' in their lives."
