KAISER CHIEFS Frontman RICKY WILSON won't let his collapse at the London Marathon on Sunday get him down and has vowed to finish itlater this week.

The British singer was treated by paramedics after suffering a blackout just over two miles (three kilometres) from the finish line and was forced to pull out.

His disappointment however over not completing the 26.4 mile (42.2 kilometre) will be short lived when he will run the remaining miles until the finish line.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "I collapsed after three hours 20 at Mile 24 of the Marathon. Very disappointed! Will try and get it finished before the weekend... Also, thanks a lot to all the ambulance guys who brought me round. I can't remember their names but I couldn't recall mine at the time... The doctors asked me loads of questions as I recovered to see how my head was doing. I'm still struggling with the Prime Minister one."

Ricky is not the first star to suffer setback's at the London Marathon. BBC news presenter Sophie Raworth, and pop singer Michelle Heaton have both been forced to pull out of past marathons due to complications as did late Big Brother star Jade Goody after collapsing withing a few miles of the start line.
