Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis because the victim of a crazed attack yesterday after a ‘fan’ punched her in the face at a book signing in London.

The star, who was promoting her new autobiography Dreams in a book shop in Piccadilly, was signing copies of the release for fans when a man punched her in the head.

The man - who had queued up for five hours to meet the X Factor winner - waited until she bowed her head to sign his copy of the book, before slamming his fist into her temple.

A horrified Leona screamed and cried, "Oh my God" before bursting into tears as she was whisked away and taken to hospital by her minders whilst leaving five security guards to wrestle the 6ft 5in thug to the ground.

Leona was checked for concussion at London's Harley Street Hospital, and is thought to have had a lucky escape with only bruising, but it still forced her to pull out of a planned appearance on BBC1's The One Show.
