U2 Stun Cannes With Midnight Red Carpet Show.... Rockers U2 stunned fans at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Saturday night (19May07) with a free live midnight show on the red carpet.The group performed for 10 minutes on the seaside town's Croisette, and frontman Bono surprised festival-goers by speaking in fluent French.He yelled, "Bon anniversaire, Cannes!" as the group kicked off their performance of Vertigo and later admitted, "I have often slept on this beach."The group also played a version of their 1987 hit Where The Streets Have No Name.Bono and the boys are in Cannes for the premiere of their new concert film, U2: 3D, which captures the band on tour in Latin America.It is being billed as the first concert movie filmed entirely in 3D.
