Kodaline have been recording new music in a secret hideaway.
The 'High Hopes' hit-makers have retreated to a remote village in the Irish countryside for a whole month in a bid to pen songs for the follow-up to their debut album 'In A Perfect World', before heading out on the road in America in February.
Guitarist Mark Prendergast, 24, told the Daily Star newspaper: "We'll be in the Irish countryside during January in the middle of nowhere to write for a month. Not to call it album two but to see what happens."
It seems fans won't have long to wait before hearing new material as the finished record could be released this year, while the group revealed they have already played unheard tracks during their concerts.
Frontman Steve Garrigan, 25, said: "We're constantly writing new tracks, it's just a case of recording them.
"We started road-testing songs on tour. Playing to a crowd is better than writing it and seeing what happens.
"We've been told the next album won't be released till 2015 but we want to record and write as it's what we love doing."
Drummer Vinny May, 23, added: "It could come out at the end of this year but it'll be done when it's done."
Meanwhile, the four-piece - who also include bassist Jason Boland,26 - are set to release their new single 'One Day' on February 17, before embarking on a sold-out UK tour in March.
