Unafraid to share his past with his audience, 50 Cent is one of the biggest names in rap, who came from humble beginnings. The release of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ saw him go from the streets to the top of the charts, making a huge name for himself with the help of Dr Dre and Eminem.
An array of hit singles including In Da Club and 21 Questions came from the Dr Dre and Eminem-produced record, catapulting 50 Cent into the hearts of rap fans across the globe, with the performer bringing in sales of over 10 million copies. Grammy Awards followed, and 50 Cent quickly realised he had cemented a legacy within the music industry.
Now regularly cited as a major influence for up-and-coming artists, 50 Cent has carried the weight of hip hop culture on his shoulders, bringing it into the mainstream and building an empire that anybody would be proud of.
