The 'Read All About It' rapper was flung into the spotlight with his failed marriage to former 'Made in Chelsea' star Millie Mackintosh, which ended eight months ago, and now he has vowed to put it all behind him and put all of his energy into new music as he admits he got too caught up in fame.

He said: "I took my eye off the ball, I don't know where the two years went.

"I'll admit it got away from me. Unfortunately the focus shifted and I became more of this celebrity to people and the focus shifted and I became more of this celebrity to people and the focus shifted on to my personal life instead.

"And some of my fans who don't buy into that stuff have just been waiting for me to return."

The 32-year-old rapper - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - has promised not to "neglect" his fans by getting caught up in the celebrity world and plans on dropping new music regularly to show them he is serious.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I want to make sure it doesn't happen again, people need to understand I don't enjoy leaving a restaurant after two bottles of red wine and having a camera shoved in my face.

"I want to take that camera and shove it up the bloke's arse, but I don't.

"I will make sure that I never neglect it again, not just for my fans but for myself.

"Me and Millie never discussed our relationship but people still bought into it and I realise now.

"I'm going to make songs, put it out, make songs, put it out, and keep them coming."

However, Pro is to get his marriage split off his chest first by referencing it on his forthcoming album.

Asked if Millie will be unhappy with the content, he previously admitted: "I think that can be assumed. But I'm not worried about that.

"People assume they know me and they know the box I fit into but I grew up rapping a totally different way. I hope people will let me release the music and the style that I want. I'm not going to be nice just to sell records."

Pro unveiled new single 'One Eye On The Door' last week, which explains the tragicomic events that occur during a relationship and the excuses and recriminations that follow.
