Chris Brown has reportedly axed Rihanna from his upcoming album.

The 'Fine China' singer had been planning to include the track 'Put It Up', recorded with his on/off girlfriend, on his latest album, 'X', but with their relationship cooling he is now to thought to be leaving it off the tracklisting.

And source told HollywoodLife.com: "Record execs wanted that song on there, but Chris said he would rather not and wouldn't allow the record to be released unless they took it off.

"They're still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit. The record hasn't been pressed yet, so things can change, but at this point he's not changing his mind."

Prior to their break up, the 24-year-old said working with Rihanna was "effortless".

He explained: "It flows easily. What works with us is we have similar ways of creating music"

It's thought the couple's conflicting schedules may have contributed to their split.

In March this year Chris said: "She's beautiful. She's on tour and our schedules don't allow us to be as close as we want to be. But everything is good. She will be on my album."

Chris first dated Rihanna in 2008 but they split in 2009 after was convicted of assault for beating her. He is now thought to be dating Karrueche Tran.
