'Killing For Love' is the third single to be released from the acclaimed second José González album, In Our Nature."What's the point if you hate and kill for love?" the song asks, distilling the personal and political into a rousing three minute protest song, his trademark intricate acoustic guitar picking taking on an agitated style. "You've got a heart on fire / bursting with desire / you got a heart filled with passion / will you let it burn for hate or compassion?" The b-side is an exclusive non-album track, 'Neon Lights', another of the hushed and perfectly mesmeric songs that only José can produce with such grace and lightness of touch.José has had a busy few months on the road, even stopping off in Argentina for his dad's birthday! He also made a special appearance in the Kylie documentary White Diamond, singing a duet with the pop star on her hit 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. Living the dream, eh?On 21 February, José González will take part in the iTunes singer/songwriter festival held at AIR Studios. An event honoring the art of songwriting, singers, collaborators and writers, each artist will perform their own works and also collaborate with a long-time admired peer. José will perform with Stephanie Dosen. The event is recorded in both audio and video, then released as an iTunes-exclusive live EP. Having spent the new year playing festivals in Australia, José will spend March touring across the US before making his way across the pond to perform a string of UK dates in April. An extra show at London's Shepherds Bush has now been added due to overwhelming demand, after the first date sold out in a matter of hours. José González
