UMC and Abkco Records are pleased to announce the digital only release of the accompanying soundtrack to the hotly-tipped ‘Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief’.
The fantasy adventure film, directed by Chris Columbus, is an adaptation of The Lightning Thief, the first novel in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series by Rick Riordan.
Set in the modern world, the twelve gods of Mount Olympus are alive and creating a new race of mythological heroes who are demi-gods – half mortal, half god. Percy, the teenage son of Poseidon is suspected by Zeus of stealing his lightning bolt, the universes’ most powerful weapon. To prove his innocence and avoid a devastating war among the gods, Percy embarks on a transcontinental odyssey to find the real thief.
The film’s score was composed by Christophe Beck, who won an Emmy for his work on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Directed by Chris Columbus and starring Logan Lerman , Bandon T Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Steve Coogan, Rosairo Dawson, Catherin Keener, Kevin McKidd, Joe Pantoliano, Uma Thurman, and Ray Winstone.
