Luke Ritchie is back this week with his new single Butterfly - which is taken from his fantastic debut album The Water’s Edge.
There has been a real rise in folk music in 2012 and Ritchie is one of those artists who has been leading the way and Butterfly is another gem of a track from the singer/songwriter.
Butterfly is a wonderfully upbeat track from Ritchie and it is a track that has perhaps more pop elements than ever before.
The folk/pop mix is something that works incredibly well as it gives that track a real charm as well as a warmth.
The melody is incredibly catchy and the guitars really help the track bounce along at a great and infectious pace.
There is a real simplicity to Ritchie’s music as he lets his rich voice and acoustic guitar capture your imagination - and that is evident on this track as he creates a very vivid.
Right Then and There is the b-side to the single and is a live track that really shows off Ritchie’s fantastic vocal.
He delivers a rich and emotive vocal performance on this track and it is not hard to see why everyone is excited about his live shows.
Ritchie is an artist that has delivered a great album this year and Butterfly is just one of the fantastic tracks from it.
