Billy Vincent have already enjoyed success with their EP releases and now they are back with their debut album She.

And that success is set to continue as She is a collection of heartfelt and emotive tracks that show off everything that is great about this band.

Dead Man's Shoes is the opening track to the album and it's an upbeat and super catchy track that has a folksy sound running through it from start to finish.

But is really is a fab track and it is one of the best on the album as the band mix guitars and drums with some great sounding strings that finish the sound of the track off perfectly.

And It Fights is a track that moves from quiet to an injection of guitars and this works well as it creates a real tempo throughout the track.

Much like the previous track there are some very visceral melodies that rise and fall beautifully.

The folk influence is evident again in The Wayward Fall In Line as the strings really do take pride of place.

And the strings work well with the rather earthy vocals of both Billy Barratt and David Vincent. There is a real sea shanty feel to the track, shame it's not a longer track.

Four, Five, Six sees the band go down another path as it really is the vocal that takes centre stage, supported by a lone piano.

The guitars do kick in about half way and they give it a real dramatic feel, and it is in complete contrast to the purity of the opening half of the track.

But my personal favourite track on the album is the closing song The Ballad of Billy Vincent, which is just seven minutes of greatness as the band sing about their self created protagonist.

She is an album that sees Billy Vincent tackle different sounds and genres and it really is a great listen - the likes of Dead Man's Shoes and The Wayward Fall In Line are really going to be tracks that play well live.

This is an unpredictable album with every track showing off a different side to this very versatile and exciting band.
