The Neighbourhood caught the attention of the online world at the beginning of the year and since then the Californian based quintet have been going from strength to strength.

And this week sees them return with their I’m Sorry EP - a collection of five tracks that is the perfect introduction to the band.

Female Robbery is the opening track on I’m Sorry and it is such a fantastic record as it contains the most infectious beat.

The arrangements on this track are just fantastic while Jesse James Rutherford is a really charismatic and almost magnetic front man -and he in on top form vocally.

The heavy guitar work and great arrangements continue on Leaving Tonight as The Neighbourhood bring down the pace at the beginning of this track.

There is almost a haunting feel to the vocal on this track and while there is more power in the chorus there is an atmospheric feel throughout - if really is one of the best tracks on the EP.

Baby Come Home sees them take on more of pop/rock sound while Sweater Weather’s powerful grooves make it one of the best tracks.

Sweater Weather is one of the songs to be released as a single and it saw the band receive praise left right and centre - and it is not hard to see why.

Rutherford has a real presence vocally - through in the breezy Californian feel and you have a track that is difficult to forget.

Wires is another incredibly energetic and catchy and it perfectly rounds off this fantastic five track EP.

The Neighbourhood look set for great things and if they continue making music like this they will find that success coming very quickly.
