Norma Jean Martine’s credentials stand up against most, having written for a number of well known artists including Ronan Keating so it was no surprise that her recently released debut album, Only In My Mind took the music world by storm at the end of 2016.
Now Norma Jean is releasing ‘Still in love with you’ as a single.
‘Still In Love With You’ is a beautiful example of her rock tones blended with subtle blues rooted guitar pop coupled with strong vocals and highly emotive lyrical work.
The Middletown, US born, Norma Jean Martine lures the listener in with her entrancing voice and sincerely heart-felt lyrics in this upbeat love anthem about a past relationship. She uses her raw vocals tell the story of familiar warm nostalgic adoration.
Norma Jean explains: “Still In Love With You is about my first love. I think when you share a lot of your first experiences with someone, and really love someone for the first time, you love them forever… even if you’re just in love with the memory of what was.”
The music video for Still In Love With You (click to play), was shot in and around Berlin by acclaimed filmmaker Mia Hennig of Bear Film.
Norma Jean Martine is currently performing sold out shows around Europe and the UK with a special stripped back acoustic show on 11 January & 8 February at the Servant’s Jazz Quarters, in Dalston. Norma Jean Martine’s live shows will feature previous singles I Want You To Want Me, a gentle piano sound that develops into an indie pop song about love, loneliness and fate, a track showcases Martine’s husky powerful vocals, and No Gold. Which seems to have been influenced by Adele’s ‘Send My Love’.
Still In Love With You is taken from the album ‘Only In My Mind’ out now on Virgin EMI Records.
