Following the popular Stateside release of their debut album ‘Everyday Behavior’, Mêlée introduce themselves to the UK with their second album ‘Devils & Angels’. The album is their first for Warner Bros. Records and will be released on July 28th.

Demonstrating the band’s craft of piano based melody with a raw rock edge, ‘Devils & Angels’ was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Head Automatica). Lead by Chris Cron’s emotive vocals and evocative piano, ‘Devils & Angels’ highlights songs including the soaring ballad ‘Can’t Hold On’, the sheer energy of ‘Frequently Baby (She’s a Teenage Maniac)’ and the album’s hook laden first single ‘Built To Last’ (released July 21st).

‘Devils & Angels’ was written by Cron with guitarist Ricky Sans, while bassist Ryan Malloy and drummer Mike Nader also contributed to the arrangements.

“The album is about being in your twenties in modern America,” explains Cron. “It’s about our experiences right now – with life, love, friends – and asking questions about where we’re going and what’s going to happen. That’s the whole theme.”

Formed in Orange County, Mêlée debuted in 2003 with the ‘Against The Tide’ EP for Hopeless Records. The following year saw the release of the band’s full-length debut ‘Everday Behavior’ on Hopeless Records/Sub City, drawing the attention of Warner Bros. Records with whom the band signed to in September 2005.

Mêlée have since hit the Warped and Take Action! tours, as well as performing with bands such as The Donnas, Sugarcult, Motion City Soundtrack, Bowling For Soup and Bayside.

Mêlée recently toured mainland Europe where they’re already on the airplay Top 10 in several key territories.
