Seasfire

After a hugely successful year so far, supporting the likes of Spector and King Charles, remixing Lana Del Ray and performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds Festival (where they were tipped as one of the top 6 acts to see by Radio 1’s Greg James), Seasfire are back with their 5 track debut EP ‘We Will Wake’, which is being released via Hervé’s record label Cheap Thrills on 3rd December 2012.

Seasfire create dark, deeply epic songs and none more so than on their new EP ‘We Will Wake’. The opening and title track ‘We Will Wake’ is mixed by Dan Grech (The Vaccines, Hurts, Lana Del Ray) and radiates with a new anthemic dimension emerging in the band’s sound, alongside their beautifully programmed deep twisted beats.

Forming little over a year ago in their hometown of Bristol, the four members of Seasfire, Josh, James, Joe and David have come a long way. Finding inspiration from the darker places, writing songs of beauty and melancholia, Seasfire have already won over a number of high profile fans and continue to do so with their enigmatic performances.

The four-piece formed, as most do, in a bedroom studio listening to the 3 B’s: Buckley, BunnyMen and Burial.

Their debut single, ‘Falling’ made an instant impact at radio with XFM making it their Game Changer record where it was heavily championed by Mary Ann Hobbs. From then on it spiralled - Steve Lamacq brought the band into Maida Vale to record their 6 Music Introducing Session.

The support culminated in ‘Falling’ being added to Radio 1’s Introducing Playlist and saw extensive daily plays and a whole host of new fans. Radio support continued to follow for second single ‘Heartbeat’, which received plays from Steve Lamacq (6 Music) and Huw Stephens (Radio 1) and was also added to the C playlist on XFM and A playlist on Amazing Radio.

Seasfire are breaking boundaries and are fast becoming one of Britain’s most exciting bands. The band will be touring the UK this winter and the ‘We Will Wake’ EP will be released on 3rd December 2012.
