It's that time of year when we cast praise on all the amazing celebrity mums and dads who have successfully handled a busy career and parenthood. Though there are plenty, here's FemaleFirst's top 12 of 2012. 

1. Victoria and David Beckham

Two of showbiz's busiest stars - we adore the way Mr and Mrs Beckham come together and devote their all to their four beautiful children - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven.

2. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

Both Hollywood stars are extremely hands-on parents with Ben often caught doing the school run and Jennifer out on a stroll with their three cuties Violet, Seraphina and baby Samuel. 

3. Jessica Alba and Cash Warren

This stunning pair are mum and dad to sisters Honor and Haven and are definitely one of Hollywood's most dedicated parenting duos. Jessica has even set up The Honest Company which supplies sustainable baby products.

4. Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom

A match that has blessed their baby boy Flynn with the cutest genes, we assume! The couple are forever pictured doting on their first child.

5. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale

The music industry's most fashion-forward and rocking mum and dad. Both love spending time with their boys Kingston and Zuma and their trendy sense of style is also rubbing off on the brothers.

6. Hank Baskett III and Kendra Wilkinson

We're pretty sure that they have one of the cutest kids ever on the planet, let alone the showbiz world, and Hank and Kendra adore their son to bits as millions have witnessed on their E! reality TV series 'Kendra'. 

7. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick

What don't this happy couple do for their kids? The eldest Kardashian sibling and the millionaire businessman are seen cooing over their son Mason and newest addition to the family, baby Penelope, in their many reality tv shows.

8. Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky

Firstly, how jealous are we of Elsa? Chris Hemsworth cradling baby India Fox in his arms just shows how much of a loving and proud father the Thor star is. The family are constantly pictured spending quality time together all around the world.

9. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

We salute Hollywood's most famous, busiest and hands-on parents. Angelina and Brad always seem to put their six kids first which we love about the couple's parenting style. The Jolie-Pitt clan consists of Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, Knox, Pax and Vivienne.

10. Jay-Z and Beyonce

They famously tried and failed to get their daughter's name - Blue Ivy Carter - trademarked and the pair have been adamant to keep the baby covered in front of the media. However, Jay and B have proved to be wonderful parents - working hard and raising their little one away from the pressures of being in the spotlight.

11. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

The How I Met Your Mother star and fiance David are dads to two gorgeous twins, brother and sister, Gideon and Harper. Neil and his brood are often seen happily spending quality time together, strolling the New York streets, looking every inch the perfect family. Aww!

12. Giuliana and Bill Rancic

After months of trying for a baby, Mr and Mrs Rancic welcomed their adopted baby, Edward Duke, into their lives this year and the pair couldn't be more ecstatic. Captivated by the little one, Guiliana even considered becoming a full-time stay-at-home mum.
