For most, it’s the most romantic day of the year but for some Valentine’s Day can be a horror in the gifts department.
Although men may approve of being bought power tools and building equipment, it definitely doesn’t mean that women can’t wait to get a new plunger.
With Valencrimes on the rise, Elizabeth Shaw has launched valencrimes.co.uk, a site that allows you to upload pictures of your horrendous Valentine’s gifts.
The public get the opportunity to vote on the worst one and the winner will win some luxury Elizabeth Shaw chocolates.
Some of the gifts featured on the site 
are hilarious. One woman was given a questionable statue with the words ‘I love you this much’ written on the bottom, saying, “I do not know why this was given to me, I hope the charity shop got 20p for it last year.”
Another woman was given a Sink Serpent for Valentine’s and said, “Yes, this really was a ‘gift’ from my darling husband.”
Other ‘gifts’ include a mop bucket, a bottle sterilising kit and a company diary – all of which are questionable Valentine’s gifts at best!
