Brits Prefer Holiday Romances with Other Brits
There’s nothing quite like a holiday romance. The sun, the sea, and the thrill of knowing that you don’t have very long together.
Although we love a good holiday romance, it seems that Brits are more likely to go for fellow Brits than for a local.
Four in ten women admitted to wanting to have a holiday romance with a fellow Brit, as did 38 per cent of men.
Despite wanting to hook up with a British guy more, UK women don’t rule out getting steamy with a local.
Nearly a third said they’d happily go for an Italian stallion, with 11 per cent wanting to be seduced by a Spaniard.
German men wouldn’t fare so well with a British lady, as only three per cent of British women said they’d go for a German.
An incredible two thirds of men and women admitted to having at least one holiday romance, with 50 per cent saying being on holiday made them feel more romantic.
Despite alcohol being a large factor on many holidays, only 6 per cent of people said they would blame a holiday hook up on alcohol.
Instead, a third of men and women put it down to feeling generally more promiscuous on holiday, probably due to the lack of commitment involved.
This was proven with a third of men and half of women saying the last time they see their holiday romance is at the departure gates before going back home!
