beautifully wrapped gifts under the tree

It won't be too long until Christmas arrives and it seems everyone has been getting into the festive spirit, hanging lights, putting up trees and starting their Christmas shopping - everyone apart from men.

New research reveals that a staggering 1 in 5 men won't buy any Christmas presents until the last minute and 10% of men admitted that they would buy nothing at all for their loved ones over the holidays, bah humbug!

"There is a lot to organise at Christmas and it can be a busy and stressful time of year, but that's no excuse to be a Scrooge this December." - Dan Mountain, CEO of Buyagift.com

A poll of 2000 adults carried out by the UK's leading online gift retailer, buyagift.com showed that by the end of November more than half of the UK's men had started thinking about their Christmas shopping, but only a very small 4% of them had bought any of their gifts at that time.

A third of men blame their lack of effort on being disorganised and claim that leads them to make last minute 'panic buys' and resorting them to giving their partners money instead of a selection of beautifully wrapped gifts under the tree. A brave 10% of men admitted they deliberately leave their gift-buying until the last minute to make the most of the Christmas bargains and sales.

For you lucky ladies who like to pick out your own gifts there are, 40% of men said they would often purchase presents whilst their partners were with them however some might say that is an equally poor attempt with little effort.

It seems many of us have a lack of faith in our other halves when it comes to their gift-buying abilities and as if that which doesn't look good for the 40% of women who said they would be genuinely upset if their loved-one got them something they didn't want this year.

For those of us who will be lucky enough to recieve gifts this year, here's what we could be expecting.
