According to a new study by www.vouchercodespro.co.uk Brits seem to favour their phones over other seemingly important things- like their significant other.

Brits can come into contact with at least 11 pieces of technology in a day but above all else they are most dependent on their phones.

This addiction means that 73% keep their phone at arm's reach even during the night. 61% can't bear to eat without it and keep it next to their plate at the dinner table and 58% take their phones to the bathroom with them. Many confess that they feel lost without their phone.

Staggeringly, Brits are willing to give up a lot for a week if it means they could keep their phone. They would avoid spending time with their best friend, their parents, not spend anything on their debit card, send their pets to a friend or family member. They would even move out from their lover for 7 days in order to keep connected.

In fact, 63% said that their phones reduce the amount of sleep they have- not sex- phones. Think about it.

George Charles, spokesperson for www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, made the following comments:

"It's crazy to think about much things have changed over recent years with regards to technology. Ten, fifteen years ago smartphones were around, but weren't the must-have they are now. Whilst these handheld devices have revolutionised our lives, allowing us to stay in touch with family and friends all around the world as well as access all kind of information at our fingertips, the fact some people would rather not see their partner for a week than go without their phone is a very telling revelation of just how dependant we are on these little gadgets."
