The online retailer has launched the device, which works by connecting your palm to a credit card pre-stored to pay for items at Amazon Go stores without using a checkout.

Before the Amazon One, shoppers used a code on their smartphone.

The new feature is currently only available at two Amazon Go stores in Seattle, Washington, but will expand to the rest of their stores in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago.

And they are also hoping to bring the palm recognition technology to other stores and businesses in the future.

Dilip Kumar, vice president of Amazon's physical retail business, said: "We believe Amazon One has broad applicability beyond our retail stores, so we also plan to offer the service to third parties like retailers, stadiums, and office buildings so that more people can benefit from this ease and convenience in more places."
