Callie is immediately worried about Adrian and the children– is that why they’re not here? Linden calms her – Adrian wasn’t involved in the accident. Linden hesitates knowing that he needs to tell her about her children. Linden explains that the kids were in the car at the time and they were injured but both are on the mend and at home with their father. Callie is massively relieved but now wants to know specifics about the accident. Linden looks anxious, wanting to protect her from the truth

Ric tells Michelle he’s prepared to help her – but he’s going to be watching her – he’s now taking responsibility for her staying on the programme and for the welfare of her child – no more running off – is she okay with that? She thanks him profusely. Ric has a nagging feeling that there’s something that she’s not telling him but she denies it – she’s just anxious, she doesn’t want to lose her son. Ric cancels his meetings and gets Michael to cover his operations. Ric discovers that social services are reviewing Michelle’s situation but haven’t decided on a course of action yet. Donna gets told off for not pulling her weight. Donna decides to take it on the chin. Nurses need to stick together.

Linden asks if he would like to see Callie. He is unsure, Linden looks surprised- why doesn’t he want to see his wife? Adrian explains that so much has changed he doesn’t know if he can face her. Linden doesn’t his best to change his mind. Adrian finally comes around when the children want to see Callie.

Meanwhile in the meeting with social services Ric stands up and vouches for Michelle - she really wants to change – she’s dedicated to her drug programme and she’s dedicated to her son. Social Services don’t look completely convinced. Ric explains that he is going to personally oversee Michelle’s rehabilitation and will be there to help her look after her son. Social Services agree that Michelle can keep her son. Michelle brings her son into the hospital to see Rich and he meets his grandson for the first time.
