Jade Goody refused to eat the local cuisine on her peace-keeping mission in India - because she didn't want to get "Delhi Belly". Shamed Jade - who travelled to Delhi in a desperate bid to salvage her tattered reputation after her treatment of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house left her branded a "racist bully" - added insult to injury by shunning the local food in case it made her ill. A source at the five-star Le Meridien hotel where Jade stayed told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She didn't want to try any local specialities. "When you're trying to make amends for being racist about Indians, turning down the food isn't exactly a good start. Reception has been busy trying to fend off calls from people who are furious she's been allowed into India after her comments about Shilpa."While living with the Bollywood actress in the Big Brother house the 25-year-old reality TV star refused to eat food made by Shilpa as she didn't believe it was cooked properly.On her arrival at the Indian capital city, Jade shocked onlookers with her first faux pas - by joking "everyone knows I love an Indian".According to reports, apart from a few organised PR stunts, she spent the rest of her four-day trip holed up in her hotel room.

However, before flying back to the UK yesterday (01.03.07), Jade told reporters: "I really liked the experience and I'm more than willing to come back."

The disgraced reality TV contestant - who insisted the trip was not a PR stunt - donated her 'Celebrity Big Brother' fee to children's charities in India.
