The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries

Good news, The Vampire Diaries returns to our screens on Tuesday for a third nail biting series and here in the office we couldn’t be more excited to get our teeth into it, so we’re looking back at the best moments of series 2 to get us ready for the next instalment.

One of the best moments of series 2 had to be when Caroline revealed to her mother (cop by day, vampire hunter by night) that she was a vampire. Needless to say, she didn’t take the news too well.
In series 1 Jeremy Gilbert was seen as Elena’s loser brother, but series 2 saw Jeremy become super hot! This made series 2 much more pleasant to watch which is why Jeremy Gilbert maturing very nicely makes it in to our best moments.

Arguably one of the most tense moments of the series was the big reveal of Klaus. After almost an entire series of waiting Klaus was revealed in episode 19 and we were not disappointed! We also loved the fact that he was British.

We had never had much sympathy for Tyler Lockwood, here at the office we always thought he was a bit of an idiot.

That was until he learned his true fate and transformed into a werewolf for the first time.  We couldn’t help but feel his pain when we saw his softer side in episode 11.

Although the main love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon dominated the series, the one between Matt, Caroline and Tyler was also pretty juicy. It has left the office split between team Matt and team Tyler and has also left us guessing how the relationship will continue into series 3.

Now we’ve always known Damon was the bad boy of the show, and that is certainly part of the attraction but even we flinched when Damon’s dislike for Mason Lockwood got the better of him and he ripped out his heart in episode 6.

The best moment of the series had to be when Damon told Elena that he loved her. The entire VD fan base swooned and fell in love with Damon all over again. That was until he went and ruined the moment by compelling her to forget his entire romantic speech.

The show’s big finale left us with many questions, but one of the best moments of episode 22 was when Jeremy walks into his living room to find Anna and Vicki standing before him. Are they back from the dead? Or are they just a figment of his imagination? Series 3 shall tell all!
