Abbey Clancy hopes to improve her fitness levels with her appearances and performances on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 27-year-old model insists she looks forward to feeling better about herself and toning her body, as she isn't particularly fit and lacks stamina.

Quizzed on what she's excited about while competing on 'Strictly', she said: "Well, my fitness levels are fairly horrendous. I usually don't train or go to the gym. I'm strong but I've got absolutely no stamina. I tend to get out of breath easily.

"Getting my fitness levels up is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most. So I want to tone up and feel good."

The blonde beauty is partnered by professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and thinks she will improve her dancing skills if she is praised and encouraged.

She explained: "Personality is a major part - if you get on well with your coach, you'll grow better as a dancer. I work better when I get praise. If someone shouts at me I tend to shut down. I need encouragement not to be shouted at."

Although Abbey - who is married to footballer Peter Crouch - finished at the top of the leaderboard after her ballroom debut on Saturday night (28.09.13), she insists she isn't in the competition to win it.

Speaking to Now magazine, she added: "I'm the least competitive person there is. I'm the eldest of four, so I've grown up letting the little ones win every game.

"Obviously id like to do well for myself and I'd like my daughter [Sophia, two] and family to be proud, but I wouldn't say I'm going to kick everyone's behind!"
