Beverley Callard and Shane Richie are hoping to land a 'Coronation Street'/ 'EastEnders' crossover spin-off series.

The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' stars took part in a pub-based challenge on last night's (01.12.20) episode, for which they got into character as their soap alter-egos, Corrie's Liz McDonald and EastEnders' Alfie Moon, both of whom have run fictional boozers, Weatherfield's Rovers Return and Walford's Queen Vic.

As they prepared to start their challenge - in which they had to put 10 pub names in order of the most popular, but were squirted with out-of-date beer if they gave an incorrect answer - Shane said: "Liz and Alfie behind the pump."

Beverley said: "This is going to give us a spin-off series I think ... or we'll never work again."

But Shane questioned why the show's bosses hadn't included the Queen Vic and the Rovers in their top 10.

Speaking to the camera, he quipped: "I can see the Rovers and Queen Vic aren't up there - are you trying to say they're not popular?"

Beverley agreed, adding: "I did wonder about that."

The pair got into their characters during the challenge, with Shane joking: "Are you ready to pull a pint, Miss McDonald."

Beverley replied: "I believe I am Mr. Moon."

Shane also put in a bit of practice for their potential spin-off series, which could also star 'EastEnders' actress Jessie Wallace as Kat Moon.

He quipped: "Kat, get out love, I’m serving Liz."

But Shane is the only soap star left on this year's 'I'm A Celebrity' after Beverley has since been voted off, and ex-'EastEnders' actress Jessica Plummer was eliminated last night.
