The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' star would love her campmate, Paralympian gold medalist Hollie, to run the Rovers Return with her character Liz McDonald - who departed the cobbles earlier this year - because the 26-year-old star is "really practical and sensible".

Asked who she would want to run the fictional boozer with, she said: "I think I’d like it to be a woman, so I’d choose Hollie.

"I think two women should run the Rovers for a change and she’s really practical and sensible and she’d keep me in check."

The 63-year-old actress would also love to recreate cobbles legend Betty Williams' (Betty Driver) famous hot pot dish for her campmate AJ Pritchard, because he is a big fan of grub.

Quizzed about who she would cook a hot pot for, Beverley told 'I’m A Celebrity... The Daily Drop': "AJ, because he loves his food."

Beverley announced in November last year that she was to depart 'Corrie' after playing Liz for 30 years on the ITV soap.

While she admitted at the time that Liz was going to exit "with one hell of a bang", the coronavirus pandemic had other ideas and the character didn't get an on-screen exit and has not been seen on screen since June.

Liz's son Steve McDonald recently explained her absence by saying his mother was in Spain.

New episodes of 'I’m A Celebrity... The Daily Drop' hosted by Vick Hope will be on the ITV Hub daily.
