Anatomy of a Scandal star Hannah Dodd will star as Francesca Bridgerton in the Netflix original series' third season, it's been revealed. Former Bridgerton actress Ruby Stokes has left the role, now working instead as the lead on another project for the streaming service, Lockwood & Co.

Though her family is an extremely extroverted one, Francesca is a bit of a mystery with her reserved nature. Still, she goes along to get along when it comes to society affairs, using her dry wit and pragmatism to impress, but drawing attention when she least desires it.

Bridgerton is set to return to production in London this summer (2022), with showrunner Jess Brownell serving as executive producer alongside Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Chris Van Dusen.

Dodd has had quite the whirlwind career, coming straight out of school into her first acting job as one of the series leads in Find Me In Paris, before also landing a recurring role across two seasons of the series Harlots.

Then, as those working on Anatomy of a Scandal were looking for somebody to play a young version of Sienna Miller's character, Dodd stood out amongst the pack.

After filming, she shot as one of the leads in mini series Flowers In The Attic: The Origins and, starred opposite Millie Bobby Brown in the film Enola Holmes as one of the supporting leads.

Now, she'll be given the opportunity to flex her acting muscles all over again, adding yet another incredible addition to her catalogue of impressive credits.
