The 31-year-old actress is best known for playing Sophie Webster on 'Coronation Street' from 2004 until 2019 while Ellie, 22, starred as Faye Windass on the ITV1 soap opera from 2011 until 2023, before claiming victory on the BBC Latin and ballroom show just months after leaving the cobbles.

And now, Brooke doesn't think she would be able to take to the dancefloor, because she would have such big shoes to fill and might be regarded as “the failure”.

Asked on ITV's 'This Morning' if she would ever take part in 'Strictly', she said: "Oh God, no, I can't do it now, not after she won! I'd be like the failure! She just did amazing. You just get bored of saying how proud you are so I was trying to word it in different ways."

Former 'Dancing on Ice' runner-up Brooke - who has Mexx, four, and two-year-old Monroe with footballer Kean Bryan - is now starring in a touring stage adaptation of Kay Mellor's hit TV series 'The Syndicate'.

Brooke explained how different she is finding rehearsing for her new role after so many years working in ‘Corrie’.

She said: "Well, with live TV you get no second chances and it's literally that.

"You've got to go with the flow whereas back on 'Corrie' and other TV it's like ... 'Oh your hair was just in your face, can we just go again?', it's a completely different skill set but I'm just so excited.

"I did a play when I was younger and I feel like it's a feeling you get, it's that buzz. You become mindful of everything around you, and you can hear if something is off. But I was taught that whatever happens, you just keep going!

"We're touring from April to July so every night just going over it so it's not necessarily about the lines, it's going to be about keeping it fresh."
