David Harewood and Amy Nuttall have joined 'By Any Means'.

The 'Homeland' star and the 'Downton Abbey' beauty are to guest star in the BBC One crime drama, and the flame-haired stunner is delighted to have landed a role as a hard-hitting journalist.

She said: "I'm so excited to be part of this gripping new drama. Being on set with the fantastic cast and crew was really fun. My character is a hard-hitting journalist - very different from some of the other characters I've played - which was lots of fun!"

The pair will appear alongside several other guest stars including 'Goldfinger' actress Honor Blackman, Primeval's Andrew-Lee Potts and 'Mr Selfridge' actor Nick Moran.

Belinda Campbell, Executive Producer for Red Planet Pictures, said: "We're delighted to welcome such an extensive and talented list of guest stars to 'By Any Means', accompanying our wonderful main cast.

"There are some brilliantly crafty and manipulative characters throughout the series, which have been expertly brought to life by these gifted actors and actresses."

Warren Brown, Shelley Conn, Michael Maloney, Keith Allen, Neil Maskell, Kate Dickie, John Henshaw, Gina McKee, Elliot Knight and Harriet Walker will also feature in the drama series.
